Artist Statement
I like the behaviour of paper, how differently it sucks up paint or ink. The feeling when you touch different kinds of papers, admiring its structure and smell. Paper rarely forgives. It carries a certain fragility. It’s sometimes just one wrong brushstroke and the work is lost. And then, in just one instance, you rip it apart, leaving a crackle in the air like sparks.
