About A.I.N

Art.is.nectar is a Berlin based contemporary abstract artist. During years of travelling and living in timezones far away he always found joy in other peoples art as a bystander and watcher but was also curious in the process of painting and the applied techniques. His autodidactive creative journey restarted when he was invited by life to find an outlet for words unspoken.

He is primarily working with paper rather then canvas. The fragility of paper can be understood as a metaphor for the sensitive character of existance, abrupt ends and fear of destruction. His work is heavily influenced by sound and noise which is an essential part of his creative process. It’s also a reflection of a struggle with an inner voice, which is calming and pushing all at once. 

Those constant reminders of the absence of silence and peace are layered upon each other, sometimes using photographs of places of a distant past within the paintings or as the base. The idea of layers is a further and last constant - it might just be a double exposure in a photograph or layers over layers of paint - things never vanish. They are always there. Covered but not erased.
